The male finally ripped off the glass door and stone tile pieces from the library share box and throws them out onto the field as well. He then throws the pages and other books onto the field below. The male then takes multiple books from the library share box and tears pages out. He then tried to flip a table but was not strong enough to complete the task. When the doors wouldn’t open, the male attempted to gain entry by using an object to pick the lock, kicks the doors and throws his body into the doors several times in an effort to break in. On multiple occasions the male attempted to open the locked doors of the storage room where equipment is kept. Video from that location shows a male and female walk from the track field and proceed up the stairs to the second level of the pavilion. This incident occurred on J approximately 5:00 PM.
The West Reading Borough Police Department (WRPD) is investigating an attempted burglary/vandalism which occurred at the West Reading Pavilion and specifically to the library share box. We were able to develop clearer images and some video clips (on our YouTube channel) which are now attached to this case… Please help us identify these individuals.
